At Bantay Bata 163 (ABS-CBN Foundation International's Child Welfare Advocacy), we work towards changing this alarming statistic and creating a Child Safe Philippines, where children are free from abuse and their mental health is valued.
Since 1997, Bantay Bata 163 has been at the forefront of child protection and welfare in the Philippines through our flagship program. We pioneered the first child helpline in the Philippines, Bantay Bata Helpline 163. We are also a member of Child Helpline International, a global consortium of Child Helplines.

Challenges
Filipino children experience various forms of violence, including physical, psychological, sexual, and online violence. Sadly, 7 in 10 children are unaware of available support services, emphasizing the importance of spreading awareness and educating children.

- We strive to reach a diverse range of children, including those who may not have access to our helpline services (Helpline 163). However, we rely on grants and donations to support our programs and securing sustainable funding is crucial to maintaining our operations and expanding our reach.
